Getting started
Set up a workspace, run your first assessment, and invite your team.

Welcome to CollectiveSpend Maturity. This guide walks you from first sign-in to your first board-ready report in five steps.
1. Create a workspace
After signing in, you'll be prompted to create a workspace. A workspace represents the entity you're assessing (a group, a business unit, or a government entity). Fill in the name, sector, region, and procurement size — they drive sector overlays and benchmark matching.
2. Pick an assessment template
From the Assessments page, click New assessment. The default is ISO 9001 + ISO 20400 full covering 200+ questions. Sector templates layer additional questions (Healthcare adds 8; Construction adds 9; etc.). Pick the one closest to your context — you can clone and edit later.
3. Upload your evidence
Go to the Evidence tab and drop in your procurement policy, procedures, governance memos, sourcing handbooks, and contract templates. PDF and DOCX are supported. Each document is chunked and embedded automatically for retrieval. Aim for 10–30 documents that collectively cover your procurement lifecycle.
4. Run AI scoring
From the assessment overview, click Score all with AI. The platform shows a cost preview before you confirm. Our AI engine scores every in-scope question that has evidence; a separate verifier model independently checks the citations. Questions without any matching evidence are skipped (they need a human answer).
5. Invite your team
Under Settings → Members, send invitations. Owner manages everything; Contributor answers assigned questions; Viewer sees the dashboard but can't edit. Assign questions to the SMEs in your team via the assessment's Assign contributors screen.
Tip: Start with 10–20 core documents (procurement policy, sourcing SOP, RFx template). Add more later — scoring re-runs on demand and incorporates the new evidence.
